Sculptural bridge like gallery space
Project Overview
This project involved the development of a comprehensive master plan for an upcoming integrated township located on the outskirts of a rapidly expanding urban centre. The planning objective was to create a sustainable, self-contained community that offers high-quality living environments, social infrastructure, employment opportunities, and recreational amenities — all connected through a well-structured mobility and open-space framework.
The township has been envisioned as a people-centric neighbourhood where walkability, safety, environmental sensitivity, and community interaction are placed at the heart of the planning strategy.
Project Details
Typology: Township & Community Master Planning
Scope: Urban Design • Land-Use Planning • Public Realm • Infrastructure Strategy
Location: (Region)
Site Area: (Approx. Acres / Hectares)
Status: Concept / Detailed Master Planning
Planning Vision
The township has been structured as a series of compact, interconnected neighbourhood clusters arranged around a central green axis. This approach allows for clear identity, efficient movement, and strong community orientation while ensuring access to daily amenities within walkable distances.
Commercial, educational, healthcare, and recreational functions are organised as shared resources — reducing dependency on long-distance travel and reinforcing the social fabric of the community.
Key Design Strategies
🌱 Sustainable & Climate-Responsive Planning
Green corridors, shaded pedestrian streets, landscaped buffers, water-sensitive planning, and tree-lined avenues help moderate climate impact while enhancing environmental quality.
🚶 Walkable & Liveable Neighbourhoods
Human-scale streetscapes prioritise pedestrians and cyclists, supported by local transit loops and efficient road organisation.
🏞 Public Realm Network
Parks, plazas, playgrounds, community greens, and waterfront edges form an interconnected leisure network accessible to all age groups.
🏘 Housing Diversity
Residential typologies range from apartments to villas and community housing, encouraging social inclusion and economic variety.
⚙ Infrastructure & Resilience
Planning integrates future infrastructure expansion, smart-city readiness, emergency access, and sustainable utilities.
Social & Economic Integration
Provision for workspaces, retail, local businesses, and skill-development facilities ensures that the township supports both livelihood and lifestyle — reducing commuter dependency and strengthening local economic resilience.
Outcome
The integrated township master plan establishes a long-term blueprint for a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive community. By aligning land-use, mobility, ecology, and social infrastructure within a cohesive framework, the project demonstrates how planning can create environments where people live closer to nature, closer to opportunity, and closer to each other.
